4+1 Master of Public Health Overview

ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ are prepared for jobs in government, research, practice and policymaking fields through Lehigh’s 4+1 Master of Public Health (MPH) program. The 4+1 format offers students the opportunity to earn an MS in Population Health at an accelerated pace. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ accepted into the 4+1 accelerated program begin taking graduate classes during their junior and senior years and can complete the program one year after earning their undergraduate degree. Current Lehigh students who earn a minimum overall GPA of 3.5, may elect to be enrolled in the 4+1 accelerated program once they achieve junior standing - a minimum of 54 credits. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ in these programs who do not qualify for direct admittance to the MS or MPH based on their GPA must apply for acceptance and two letters of recommendation are required.

ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ are prepared for jobs in government, research, practice and policymaking fields through a Lehigh’s Master of Public Health (MPH) program. Along with a core education on public health, students will learn to assess determinants of health with data science. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ will take courses in public health along with data science, qualitative research methods, leadership, cultural understanding and health, and policymaking. With the coursework students also have the additional ability to learn through experiential opportunities, research projects, and partnerships. The program is also designed to meet the accreditation requirements for the Council on Education for Public Health. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ must take at least 42 credits to complete the degree consisting of foundational courses and related electives. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ will also take part in a capstone project at an internship site to complete a public health project.
