Should you be offered and accept federal or institutional loans, our office will notify you of additional requirements that must be completed in order to receive this funding. The following are some of these requirements:
Academic Petitions for Financial Aid
All financial aid eligibility is based on students鈥 Satisfactory Academic Progress toward their undergraduate degree. If students fail to meet the minimum academic standards, they will be ineligible to receive need-based aid moving forward, but they may complete and submit an Academic Petition for Financial Aid. The petition is an opportunity for students to explain why they failed to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards and may result in continued financial aid support on a probationary status.
: 糖心vlog传媒 who lose financial aid eligibility because they failed to make satisfactory academic progress may use this petition to have their financial aid reinstated. In addition to completing the above form and submitting the complete aid application by the deadline, students who are petitioning for aid must also submit the following. The academic plan, degree audit and unofficial transcript must be submitted WITH the Petition.
- , approved and signed by your academic advisor
- A copy of your Degree Audit Report (from Banner)
- An unofficial copy of your transcript (from Banner)
- : These forms should be completed by faculty members concerning your recent (within two semesters) classroom performance and potential for future success in the Lehigh classroom. NOTE: The faculty endorsements are submitted separately from the Petition form but must be received for the petition to be considered complete.
Complete petitions should be submitted ONE WEEK prior to the committee meeting dates in order to receive full consideration. The petition is not considered complete until all of the required documents are submitted. The status of any submitted petition documents can be viewed on Banner Self-Service.
: This form is specifically for students petitioning to receive financial aid beyond eight consecutive undergraduate semesters.
: This form is for students who have achieved Satisfactory Academic Progress in terms of G.P.A. and full-time enrollment, but have had a break in their enrollment for any reason (leave of absence or medical withdrawal).
: Complete this survey if you are in your final semester and do not require full-time enrollment to complete your bachelor's degree requirements. Please allow up to 3 business days for your counselor to review your response and adjust your aid accordingly. The link to "Answer a Survey" is located at the bottom of your personal information page on the Self-Service Banner. Select "Declaring Less than Full-Time Status" from the dropdown menu on the Answer a Survey page.
If students are concerned about their financial aid eligibility related to the Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements, or uncertain of which form above to complete, please contact our office.
